Chapter 1 | Episode 1
The Calm Times, The Day the World Changed!
“My name’s Jack, this is a story from the far future. This is about a special family, that were choose long ago to save the world as you know it. Our story takes place in the year 2988. Our new hero as it were, is just about to be awoken by his after. He has no idea on this days events, this is the day the world changed.”
Ron walks up to Adam’s room, he wake’s him up by banging on the door. “Get up, you’re going to be late again! Your girlfriend is out side already!” Adam replies “She’s not my girlfriend, she’s just a good friend that happens to be a girl...” Ron remarks “That’s not important right now, what is important is school, you need to hurry.” Adam agrees “Okay!”
Adam runs downstairs, and just before he can make it out the door... “Take your brother with you too!” Adam reacts “I’m gonna be late as is... Fine, come on Sage.” Sage smiles and thanks him, and runs out to the car too.
Lauren looks at them, she greats Sage and Adam. “Get in, we don’t have long to get there. They speed off toward school. “Nice to see you again Sage, are you enjoying school?” Sage replies that he is. Adam tells Sage to go to his area of the school, once they park. Even though Sage is only 7, he agrees.
They make it to school, none of them were late. A few hours later Adam and Lauren met up in the lunch room. They began talking about their plans, as they are doing so Rachel walks up. Just as they are planning the night, Rachel interjects. “Well, look at the couple. Another nightly visit? I’m not surprised, but it’s wrong to lie and hide a relationship.” Adam defends them, “We are just good friends, we have been since kindergarten.” Rachel stares at them, “Guess you just don’t know, so maybe you’re not liars after all...” Rachel walks off to another table, she sits down and stops looking at them. They continue to make a plan, “So, tonight around 8:30 right?” Lauren agrees.
A few minutes go by, the bell rings to end lunch. They all go back to their classes, and finish out the day.
After school they go home, as does Lauren. The brothers go inside as she drives off. Lauren makes it home, and sees her mom outside. “Welcome home honey, I have some news for your boyfriend.” Lauren cuts her off “That’s good, but Adam isn’t interested in me that way...” Her mom smiles “Honey, just give him time. Now that news, they are having a fighting tournament... He should enter. I’m sure it’ll be all in good fun.” Lauren’s father walks out the door, “Yeah he should enter, I wanna know he can protect my little girl.” Lauren blushes “Daddy, he’s...” Her mom shakes her head. Lauren continues “He... Is going to enter, I know he is. I’m going to go over and talk to him tonight about it too.” Her dad laughs, agrees and returns inside. Her mom gives her a hug. “He’ll come around, in fact I think you should dress up for him. Maybe you can give him a little clue, he’s not a mind reader you know.”
Over at the Farbrum residence, Adam helps Sage with his homework. Their father and grandfather watch TV, they see the same ad as Lauren’s parents did. They both plan on talking to Adam about it.
